Sam Probert; APFS.
Chartered Financial Planner
After completing further education, I embarked on a career in Financial Services by joining the Pensions Technical Department at Tenet Group. After 18 months experience in the industry, I wanted to broaden my knowledge to other areas of financial planning and accepted a position as an administrator at a Firm of Independent Financial Advisers. During my 7 years at the firm I progressed to become a Paraplanner for the deputy managing director, gaining knowledge in a number of areas and taking exams in the process to aid my personal development.
To progress further in my career and to achieve my future goal of becoming an Independent Financial Adviser, I felt a move was necessary given the direction in which firm was going. In January 2015, I was offered the opportunity to join West Park Investment Partnership as a Paraplanner, with the opportunity to progress in the future. I have continued to grow my knowledge of the financial industry through reading and the completion exams, which has recently lead to me achieving Chartered status.
During the time when I am not a work, I like to spend my time in the gym, socialising with friends, or walking my dog with my partner, Emma.

I came into financial services in 1997 when I joined Co-operative Insurance (CIS). I worked with CIS as a financial adviser until 2006, when I moved to an Independent Financial Adviser and retrained as a Paraplanner. It was here that I met and worked with the future Directors of West Park Investment Partnership, joining their new venture in December 2014 soon after its launch. To date I have completed the CII Certificates in Paraplanning, Mortgage advice, Equity release and Financial Planning, and the Diploma in Financial Planning. I was jointly awarded the AXA Wealth prize for completion of the Certificate in Paraplanning. After work on Friday I like to head off to my caravan at Bridlington with my two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (and my wife Joan of course) to wind down after a busy week.
